Auburn (2-1, 0-1 SEC) hosts undefeated Vanderbilt (3-0) in its Homecoming game Saturday at 3:15 p.m. CT at Jordan-Hare Stadium. The game is on the SEC Network and the Auburn Sports Network. The Tigers have won 34 straight Homecoming games, a program record going back to 1992, and are 87-8-4 all-time on Homecoming.
Vanderbilt comes in after one of the wildest finishes of the season. Trailing NC State 17-0 in the first half and 24-7 in the third quarter, the Commodores won 35-31 by recovering a fumble in the end zone with one second left as NC State tried to run out the clock. Vanderbilt led for only that final second. Freshman quarterback Jared Curtis, the nation’s top-rated quarterback in the 2026 class, had 341 total yards in his first start. Saturday is his first road game.
“He’s really special,” Auburn coach Alex Golesh said. “He looks mature beyond his years… We’ve got to take advantage of whatever freshman moments there are.” Golesh called Vanderbilt’s blitz-heavy defense “as aggressive as we’ve seen” and said Auburn will need to protect the quarterback and run the ball.
Auburn is 9-1 against Vanderbilt at home. The one home loss came in the last meeting at Jordan-Hare, a 17-7 Vanderbilt win in 2024, and the Commodores also won last season’s game in Nashville, 45-38. Auburn’s Byrum Brown accounted for four touchdowns against Florida and has 101 in his career, the most of any active FBS player.
Homecoming weekend starts Friday at 6 p.m. with the parade through downtown Auburn and a pep rally on Samford Lawn. Miss Homecoming will be announced at halftime Saturday.
