TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Auburn volleyball bounced back from a difficult weekend at the Big Ten/SEC Challenge with a 3-1 win over Florida State on Monday night at Tully Gymnasium, spoiling the Seminoles’ home opener before a crowd of 602.
The Tigers set the tone immediately, holding Florida State to minus-.048 hitting in the opening set and taking the second 25-18 for a two-set cushion. The Seminoles answered in the third, but Auburn closed the match out in the fourth to move to 4-2 on the season. Three Tigers set career or match bests in kills.
The win steadies Auburn after losses to No. 11 Minnesota and No. 5 Wisconsin in the Big Ten/SEC Challenge and comes with SEC play still a few weeks away.
