Auburn’s Fall Hazardous Waste Collection Day Is Saturday, Oct. 10, With Free Shredding and Electronics Recycling

Auburn residents can get rid of old paint, chemicals and other household hazardous materials for free at the city’s fall Hazardous Waste Collection Day on Saturday, Oct. 10, according to the City of Auburn.

The drop-off runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Environmental Services Complex, 4277 Wire Road, Suite 100. It is meant for materials that can’t legally go out with weekly garbage collection. The city will also take paper documents for secure on-site shredding, plus computers and other electronics for recycling.

Put everything you’re dropping off in the trunk or the back of your vehicle, then enter the complex from Wire Road and follow the signs, the city said. The event is for Auburn residents.
