Auburn Athletics announced a set of gameday changes Wednesday, two days before the Tigers’ home opener, headlined by a new pregame gathering spot called Tiger Walk Plaza.
The plaza, located near the Plainsman Park entrance, will feature a mobile video board, live music from regional acts and a new home for the Tiger Tailgate Show. Auburn is billing it as the season’s central gameday destination.
Tiger Walk itself moves to two and a half hours before kickoff. Plainsman Park will open at 10 a.m. CT for afternoon and evening games and 7:30 a.m. CT for morning kickoffs, giving fans a place to eat, drink and take in pregame coverage before the short walk to Jordan-Hare Stadium.
The changes take effect Saturday, when Auburn hosts Southern Miss at 6:45 p.m. CT on SEC Network.
