I’ve got to say I’ve been friends of Jen and Rob for the several years they have called the Auburn-Opelika area home. They find themselves in Auburn for an evening show on Thursday Night. From the City of Auburn Website: The May Sundown Concert Series at Kiesel Park will kick off Thursday, May 1 with Marthaâs Trouble. Edward Tracey Turns 38
Okay, so I should say 32, since that what his girl friend thinks is his age on this birthday. Of course, the funny thing is how he found out that when he drank beer with an old National Guard Buddy, his buddy’s 10 year old daughter was at home and she’s his date tonight. I guess I should mention that was 15 years ago. Let me draw that out for you. Oh, never mind! Lisa Ditchcoff gave Ed… Read More

Rainer Meadows Launches Campaign Website
Looks as Rainer Meadows is out first with his campaign website for his run for Mayor. I emailed current Mayor Gary Fuller to ask about his, which he said will launch soon. Now, you know I’m pretty quick to jump on a campaign, but I’m going to remain neutral in this run for office. However, I plan to ask each of the canidates some questions about specific plans and issues over the next four years. I… Read More
Panasonic â Good To Their Word
If you’ll remember I had a problem with my plasma television in late January. After going to the repair shop and coming home with some additional minor problems, the folks at Panasonic asked if I’d be okay with a replacement. It arrived this week and not only did the set get replaced, it’s a bit of an upgrade. The call center folks in Virginia who provide “Plasma Concierge” service were great to work with. I suspect that… Read More
Big Crowd at Rheta’s Book Signing
Rheta talked to the group and told some stories behind her life in Cajun Louisiana. Several folks asked about various columns she has written in the past. It was a good night.  The event was at Auburn’s UU Church! I think that was WAUD’s Bob Sanders that tried to get her to comment on the results of the PA elections on Tuesday. She didn’t. From the Archives — originally published on the Opelika Daily News… Read More
PA Goes Clinton â You Happy Butterbean?
I know my friend Butterbean is thrilled that Clinton beat the Big “O” in PA! He lives in that world that thinks that John McCain can win in a race against Hillary, but maybe not Barrack! I’ve noted that comments about this race for president tends to get more comments on the site, so jump in folks. Note: Your comments post automatically when you include your email in the form, even though noone will ever… Read More
