Weakend into a Depression and thenDissapated
So buddy Redman sent me this quote from an email over the weekend, with news that Hurricane Jerry had downgraded. At that same time, I was getting a case of the crude. Fever and down for the count, much like weaking into a depression and then dissapating. Missed work on Monday and finally got back to normal today. So the point is , if you don’t see me for a few days, least you can… Read More

Thursday Music Tom Feldmann & the Get-Rites TheRail
Singer/songwriter/guitarist Tom Feldmann may have been musically weaned on the dirty, back-woods moans and hollers of blues legends like Son House, Mississippi Fred McDowell, and John Lee Hooker, but over the years the inventive young man delved into a plethora of styles, including folk, soul, country, Americana, and gospel – a practice that eventually helped inform the confident, driven performer he is today. Carrying on in the raucous gospel twang tradition of The Louvin Brothers… Read More

Little Women at OHS Opens This Weekend
Thursday Night is the opening of Louisa May Alcott’s Little Women performed by the Opelika High School Drama Group. The story was written in 1867 and 1868 about four sisters growing up during the Was Between the States (aka The Civil War). I haven’t seen Revel at the school, but understand the kids are sporting some cool T-Shirts for this show. In past days of Fellowship, Revel and Kate would come over to show off those shirts before… Read More
