Okay, so every other SciFi fan in the world has proabably seen the cancelled TV series “ Firefly ” and the move that came from that “ Serenity !” I felt I should watch the original series before seeing the movie, to see how true the movie would be. There’s lots to read on the web about the show. “Western In Space” was a description that I liked. Here’s a movie in the future, with… Read More

Big Week in O-Town
Of course Tuesday night we gather at 7PM to watch American Idol as our Buddy Taylor advances each week. And you can add the Star Songwriters Series to that same night from 8PM to 10PM with three acts on stage this week. Go to “ Star Songwriter Series ” to catch all the information. We come back on Wednesday at 8PM to see who gets kicked off the show. The Rosemary Cemetery tour takes place… Read More
Weekend for the Yard!
There’s a small amount of rain in the forecast for the weekend, mostly on Sunday, so it’s a good day to get out to the yard. Martha’s Trouble is at The Rail on Saturday! As a side note, I put in the wires to make the XM to Go radio work in the truck this weekend. Car buddy Jason (who made an earlier comment to this post) drove by to do a dealership type install… Read More
Friends with Pick Up Trucks, Las Vegas, Fellowship & Anniversaries
It’s been said, that you should never argue with friends that own pickup trucks. As sure as you get on Non-Speaking terms, you’re going to need to haul something – somewhere! Of Course, that’s never happened with me (uh…), so I can’t say all that’s true! Clay (our Marine buddy) walked over after work today, to run (aka, have me drive him) over to Lowes to pick up two bails of Pine Straw. He thought… Read More
Pick – Pick – Pickler (Idol Surprises this Evening!)
Okay – I’ve been a fan of Kelly for the past few weeks. Daughter Jenny was ready for her to go early, cause of the “dumb” act. I think that’s just Kelly. Whatever, cause she’s out of there this evening. So, our buddy Taylor was (maybe) in the final bottom three this week, how freaky was that. It’s down to 5 next week. It’s going to be a bit more stressful for us Alabama faithful. Time… Read More

Boys Vs Girls
I suspect that the Wednesday Night show will have three girls in the bottom three. Taylor, wasn’t the best guy of the night, but he should make the cut. The judges were pretty tough, but they normally are, when they drink too much before the show. I see some conflict between Ryan and Simon, who was running off at the mouth a bit this evening. So what do you think? Post a comment please!! From… Read More
Google Calendar a Hit with Me!
Weeks (uh, maybe months ago) when word was out that Google would present a free web based calendar, I was looking forward to it. Okay, so I’ve got an Outlook Calendar at work, but it can get busy if I put everything I’d like to track on it. But with this, you can create any number of calendars, or find one that has already been made public for all. What I’ve done is have a… Read More
Bye Bye Beetle Goodbye! Hello Colorado!
Well, the Red Beetle has been somewhat a trademark for me the past several years. Being the third owner of the now eight year old symbol of times gone by, I felt it was time to move on. I know I had said I was going to by a car built in Alabama, but Gary Snell doesn’t sell that kind, and he’s the only person I’ll ever buy a car from again. Gary actually hooked me… Read More
Old 280 Boogie 2006 – Great Weather, Music & Time!
It was like being at home with all the neighbors around, but being in Waverly Instead. Some early rain delayed things about half and hour and then the weather was perfect for the day long event. I’ve got pictures on my camera and Mona’s, so I’ll do an albumn for you sometime over the weekend. Topped off the truck after getting back. It’s just over 22 MPG for the moment with some city & country… Read More
