Zombie Run – 5K Race

ZopmbieRunDenverI suspect you are probably wondering how I discovered this, since I am not an avid runner, so credit goes to one of the client stations of BroadView Software and their Twitter Feed.  Colorado Public Television had a Tweet about this little run, so I followed the link. And it’s not just in Denver, but 14 cities total, including, yes you guessed it, Atlanta!

The Zombie Run is just your typical hometown 5k. That is, if your hometown is infested with zombies. Soon enough, your neighborhood will be filled with brain-eating zombies. As you run the 3.1 miles through the once peaceful streets of your city, the undead soldiers are ready to chase you down. And if you’re not fast enough, you can trust some will find a tasty snack… —your brain. See, Something has gone horribly wrong. When the military contracted the major biochemical corporation, Polybrook Incorporated, they had hoped C-894 would help injured soldiers regain their strength. They needed some way to run to safety from behind enemy lines. The testing was looking like a success. After countless experiments, C-894 was ready to lend relief. But things didn’t work out according to plan. The chemical not only offered injured soldiers super strength and speed—, it also brought them back from the dead. (Source Zombie Run Website)
