Weekend Update

China RedmanAfter two weeks of short tracking racing, the NASCAR fan in me is ready for fast cars on the Big Track in Texas today.  Although it was good to see the Hendrick Team in the Top Ten last week.  In these tough economic times and in an effort to save a few dollars, Redman and I were able to hang with friends and cook pizza in an Outdoor Oven on Saturday.  It’s going back to our primitive nature, I guess. Knowing the summer is coming and with it the Hot Alabama China Katztemperatures we tried some new headgear to keep cool.   Not sure you’ll find either of us walking around town in these new hats, but we tried.  And yes, they are cooler than my favorite ballcap.  I did make it over to Eighth and Rail for the music of Five Star Iris.  The band has done some overseas shows for the troops and it was good to hear them last night.
