David Mead will be at Eighth & Rail on Friday Night. I believe this will be the first time in Opelika for him. Showtime is about 9PM. Malcolm Holcombe is in on Saturday Night. I really enjoy his show, so I’ll be there for that.
Haven’t seen any work beginning on the Railroad Avenue Streetscape Project that was to begin about four weeks ago. But, there is a backhoe in front of the Gym! Hope Springs Eternal!
Since we had rain today and the house is covered in primer, I’m going to push back Fellowship another week. I really don’t want to get a lot of traffic on the primer on the porch. More rain on Friday, with some sun on the weekend. We’ll see what happens in the next few days.
Got my copy of East Alabama Living day before yesterday. There’s a nice article about Cafe 123 and the guy (John Marsh) that did some work on the house right after I bought it. Pretty interesting reading. And today is Groundhog Day, which I always remember as my lateMom’s Birthday! Happy Birthday Mom!
Grabbed a To Go order at Longhorn on Thursday Night to check in on Kayla. All is well. Ate it at Eighth & Rail, where some of the regulars (J, L, RE, Dr) stopped by to get the word on Fellowship this week. Didn’t make it to Waynes, but I’m sure that Brenda and her sexy sister had the crowd singing along! I knew I had to work tomorrow!!
