Unlawful Breaking and Entering a Vehicle and Theft

12222071_sTo say there has been a rash of these “Unlawful Breaking and Entering a Vehicle and Theft” the past few weeks would be an understatement.   The problem is that many of these are preventable, very easily preventable.  Simply Lock Your Vehicle”.

This morning’s Police Report had 10 cases listed and it will repeat again and again over the coming days and weeks.  The bad guys just walk along and pull the door handle, it it’s unlocked, and they are in. Anything you’ve left in the car or truck is there for the easy taking.  Your car in the driveway is a target as well.  If you remember a few weeks ago, I mentioned that someone had been in my truck looking for stuff. Nothing there for them, but I had left the truck unlocked while in a local tavern.

And remember, even if it’s locked, if thieves see something tempting they may do a “Smash and Dash”.  Be careful out there!
