Twenty Nine Years Ago this Month – Norma Rae

Norma Rae in the Mill

Although I didn’t live in Opelika nearly 30 years ago when Hollywood rolled into town to film Norma Rae, it’s fun to look back at the press kit for the movie that I grabbed from ebay a few months ago. The old Opelika Manufacturing Company stands empty now, waiting to be turned into condo’s and shopping if a developer gets his way.  I hope he does! That’s Sally Fields in the picture above. I’ll have more pictures and stuff from the movie over the next week or so.  Please check back for more, cause there’s a lot!
