July 14, 2026 — Opelika, Alabama
The Summer Swing Concert Series continued on Tuesday, July 14, with folk-rock duo Martha’s Trouble — Jen and Rob Slocumb — performing at Monkey Park. Featured in Billboard Magazine, USA Today, and XM Satellite Radio, their music has won multiple awards including Best Americana Album of the Year from the Just Plain Folk Awards.
The Slocumbs relocated to Opelika and founded The Sound Wall in 2017 — a studio, performance space, and creative community center — and later established the Opelika Songwriters Festival. The Summer Swing series continues with Crossroads on July 21 and wraps up with the Back to School Bash on July 28.
