I recently purchased one of those bands you wear on your arm to track your activities. There are several out there, but I got the one from Jawbone – I wasn’t so surprised to see my lack of activity the first day, after all, I sit in front of this computer all day and half the night. I stopped walking when I ended my diet a little over a year ago. Interesting fact, you can gain weight at about the same pace you lost it, by stopping a regular walking routine. But I digress! It recommended 10,000 Steps a day for someone my age and weight. I checked in the first day at about 2,000. Yikes. Now this week, both the band and I should get a pretty good workout. I’m heading North of the Border! My Hotel in Toronto is exactly one half mile from BroadView Software’s home office. Plus, I’m sure we’ll walk to lunch and supper as that’s way folks do in the Big City! I did try and get out to practice that little half mile stroll last week and I am really out of shape. Wish me luck!
The App is Called “UP” and you’ll find it in the iTunes Store. From the Jawbone website this little note: UP™ is a system that takes a holistic approach to a healthy lifestyle. The wristband tracks your movement and sleep in the background. The app displays your data, lets you add things like meals and mood, and delivers insights that keep you moving forward.
