Sidewalk Work Closes Turn Lanes at Geneva Street and Columbus Parkway Through Sept. 25

OPELIKA — City crews began ADA sidewalk construction Thursday, Sept. 17, at the turn lanes at the intersection of Geneva Street and Columbus Parkway, the City of Opelika said.

The work is scheduled to run through Friday, Sept. 25. Drivers and pedestrians should expect the sidewalk at that intersection to be closed and turn-lane traffic to be affected while crews are on site.

It is one of several projects underway around town, including the roundabout work that has closed the intersection of 1st Avenue at 30th Street and Cunningham Drive near Pepperell Mill Road.
