Scarey Stories from Opelika Alabama

ohpsBridgeStoriesShane Dickerson is a “tale teller” and Auburn University Professor and he will have “Tales for an October Evening”, Thursday Night (Oct 17th) in Monkey Park at the old Salem-Shotwell  Covered Bridge. The event, which kicks off at 7 PM is hosted by the Opelika Historic Preservation Society and advises that folding chairs are available and refreshments will be served. You can bring your own chair if you’d like!  In the event of inclement weather, the event will be held at the Brownfield House on North 8th Street, the home of OHPS. The group is also holding their membership drive with a special student rate and new business rate available.

The rates for membership are actually very resonable compaired to some other groups in the area and some the money helps local projects protect parts of Opelika History ~ Jerry Katz
