Road Closing on Monday

The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) has let the City of Opelika know that beginning on Monday, December 9, 2013, access to Cunningham Drive from Frederick Road will be CLOSED TO TRAFFIC for approximately FIVE (5) DAYS, due to construction of the Frederick Road widening project managed by ALDOT. The only local access to Cunningham Drive will be from Pepperell Parkway, via North Street or from downtown Opelika, via 1st “Road closed to thru traffic” signs and barricades will be placed by ALDOT at the north end of Cunningham Drive and ALDOT and their contractor will have a message style billboard on Frederick Road notifying motorists of the closed road.
