Red Cross Fly In This Weekend

Dan Gryder's DC-3 does a "Go Around" at Robert G. Pitts Airport in Auburn/Opelika in 2008

This is one of my favorite pictures from the Red Cross Fly In last year.  After screaming down the runway, about 100 feet above the ground, Dan’s DC-3 banks left and heads back to fly over Auburn and the University.  So this is one of the things you’ll find at the Fly In this weekend.  If you remember last year, it actually snowed early, stayed cold and windy in the morning, but the crowds came.  It was a good time. Some rain in the forecast, but the temperature should be better so join the fun on Saturday at the airport.
