This would be the second year for an event that quietly slipped into town last year. If you were downtown and caught any of the action, it was pretty exciting Bike Racing through the streets of Downtown Opelika. The race will take a few downtown street out of commission for a bit, but should not impact you in your downtown routine on Saturday. So what is it,well if you are part of the Bike community the following word make sense, “A road criterium on the streets of Historic Downtown Opelika.” For the rest of us, it’s a race on Bikes, and trust me, these folks go pretty fast! There should be some special things from Oskar Blues Brewery, one of the sponsors for the race as well. All this kicks off at 11AM on Saturday, so grab a lawn chair, grab a spot to sit and enjoy some racing. Think of it at Tour de Opelika!
