Parkinson’s Group Meets Sunday

The Auburn/Opelika Parkinson’s Disease Support Group has an upcoming meeting scheduled for Sunday July 13th from 2 to 4 p.m. The meeting will be held in the Eagle’s Nest Meeting Room in the back left side of Monarch Estates located at 1550 East University Drive in Auburn. Jessica Hutzul, the Executive Director of the Carlisle Enrichment Foundation, will be our speaker. Jessica is a graduate of Auburn University and holds a Master’s degree from the department of Kinesiology. She is an athletic trainer and is working with individuals with a variety of conditions (including Parkinson’s disease) to improve functional abilities in activities of daily life. She will talk about exercise in general and specific exercise to improve strength, balance, flexibility and movement. She will also discuss the Carlisle Enrichment Foundation which provides personal training and exercise at no cost to those in the community. Come join and learn how you may benefit from the program and the Foundation. She is also planning a community exercise program which could be a help to us all. Those with Parkinson’s, their caregivers, family members and/or friends are invited and urged to attend. For more information please contact Linda Drummond at 334.444.2836.
