Opelika Opens New Road

The tease in the Friday OA News was about Opelika opening a new bridge. It had a small picture of a giant steel bridge going over a large river. If you’re from around here, you knew that was really going to be a bridge over some railroad tracks. The bigger news was an expanded easy access to the hospital area, which already has constructiuon in progress. The new road is Dunlop, just a quarter of a mile down (north on) Waverly Parkway from Priester, where the old bridge was located.
