The Opelika Police Department arrested Jeffery Russell, 39, of Opelika on Aug. 6 and charged him with four counts of possession of child pornography, following an investigation into images uploaded to the internet.
The case was worked with the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force and the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children. Russell was booked into the Lee County Jail.
