Opelika Launches New City Website and Brand, Plus a 24/7 Help Service Called Connect with Caboose

The City of Opelika this week rolled out a new city website, a refreshed city brand and a new resident help service called Connect with Caboose, replacing the service previously known as ConnectOpelika.

Caboose is an around-the-clock assistant residents can use to find answers, report issues and reach city staff. The city says it supports 72 languages, widening access for residents who prefer to get help in a language other than English.

The launch follows through on plans Mayor Eddie Smith outlined in his first State of the City address on July 29, which introduced the city’s “Where Life Feels Connected” mission and set Aug. 4 as the target date for the new website.

“Opelika has always been a place where people care about one another and feel a strong sense of belonging,” Smith said in announcing the refreshed brand.

Residents can reach the new site and the help service at opelika-al.gov.
