Opelika Job Fair Sept. 15 Brings 23 Employers, Hundreds of Openings to the Public Library

OPELIKA — Job seekers will have hundreds of openings to choose from at a multi-employer job fair Tuesday, Sept. 15, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Opelika Public Library, 1100 Glenn St.

Twenty-three public and private employers are scheduled to attend, spanning health care, manufacturing, local government, hospitality and finance — a cross-section of the Auburn-Opelika economy that has added several manufacturing plants and expansions in the past year.

Hiring events at the library, organized through the Opelika Career Center, have become a regular fixture; a January event drew a similar slate of health care, staffing and manufacturing employers. Attendees are encouraged to bring copies of a current resume and to be ready for on-the-spot interviews.
