Opelika Council Revokes Wild Wing Cafe’s Business License, Sets Sept. 1 Hearing for Top Shelf Alternatives

OPELIKA — Aug. 20, 2026

The Opelika City Council voted unanimously Tuesday night to revoke the business license of Together We Thrive LLC, the company that operates Wild Wing Cafe in Tigertown, following a public hearing.

City officials cited 35 police service calls to the restaurant over the previous four months, including a fight in the parking lot and an April shooting outside the Capps Way location.

The council also set a Sept. 1 hearing to consider revoking the business license of Top Shelf Alternatives, whose owners have been charged in connection with an Opelika Police Department investigation. Those charges remain pending and the owners have not been convicted.
