Alabama Historical commission Executive Director Frank White Speak to OHPS in Opelika

Frank White made the trip to Opelika from his office in Montgomery to talk about Historic Activities and Plans in the state in coming years.  White took his position with the state about a year and a half ago and is involved in over a dozen historic sites open to the public around the state. A new project near Selma will have a Tourist Welcome Center on a proposed area near Alabama’s First Capital. White discuss that 2009 is the year of History in Alabama and 2010 will be the year of Small  Towns.  Opelika should benefit from both these yearly promotions of the state.

And before the meeting ended, Jill announced to the group the date for the Annual Grand Slam this year is April 3rd. Make sure you get with those ticket sellers and get yours!
