Faith Technologies Incorporated is bringing a major new manufacturing operation — and 200 full-time jobs — to Opelika, city officials announced this week.
The Wisconsin-based company has chosen the former JoAnn Stores Distribution Center in the Northeast Opelika Industrial Park for its newest facility, backing the project with an investment of more than $79 million. This move strengthens Opelika’s position as an advanced manufacturing hub in East Alabama.
Through its Excellerate brand, Faith Technologies specializes in engineered electrical assemblies and modular solutions built in controlled environments and shipped to job sites ready for installation. That approach is designed to boost efficiency, improve quality, and enhance customer safety across a range of industries.
Alabama Department of Commerce Secretary Ellen McNair said the company’s decision highlights the state’s position as a premier destination for advanced manufacturing and innovation. She noted that the 200 high-quality jobs coming with the project build on Alabama’s strengths, including a skilled workforce, strategic location, and a strong pro-business climate.
Mayor Eddie Smith called the announcement a vote of confidence in Opelika’s people and its business-friendly environment. “FTI will be an important partner in our community, and we look forward to growing together as they help support the future of modern infrastructure,” he said.
Faith Technologies leaders say they are eager to put down roots in the community and emphasized the company’s Culture of Care, which focuses on safety and creating a workplace where employees feel valued and respected. Local industrial development officials added that the project aligns perfectly with Opelika’s skilled workforce and long-term vision for advanced industry growth.
