Going to get an early start on the holiday weekend by taking off a few hours today and all day on Friday. This is one of the slow weeks for my department, so I’ll take advantage of being off and not getting behind. It’s off to Columbus tonight for the Catfish game! Then I plan some work around the house as I lay low for the weekend. Some things about the weekend, Here’s the history of Memorial Day! Also going on right now in the state is the annual Click It or Ticket campaign. And trust that local law enforcement will be looking for you in a seatbelt. The City of Opelika will hold a Memorial Day Service on Tuesday, May 31st at 11AM at City Hall Veterans Memorial to Honor Opelika’s Military Heros.
