Mantis Tiller Arrives in Opelika (On South 8th Street)

Mantis Tiller - Let's get to work!

Mantis Tiller at WorkOkay, so I’ve seen this little 20 pound tiller on TV for years.  I’ve really thought about getting one for two years for the yard.  This week I ordered it and it’s set for a Friday delivery at the office.  Bill at work liked what he saw so much, he ordered a thatcher attachment for mine, so he can use it in his year this weekend.   Now the questions in all our minds, is can this darn thing do everything it’s advertised to do? This is the story of that discovery!  Let me take this moment to remind you, I don’t get paid by anyone to talk about their products.  If I find something I like (and sometimes don’t like), I’ll discuss it here! You can read about the Mantis Tiller and all the other cool stuff they have here!  UPS says it’s going to be here on Friday!

Well – It arrived on Friday.  Saturday morning, Bill used it to detatch his yard.  A quick less than 2 hour job that cost a $100 rental last year.  He said this was way easier.

Then Off to Mona’s yard to do the same thing! Less than an hour there and four huge bags of thatched material and we’re done.  Over to my place for more and the front yard is done in less than 30 minutes.  Quick run of the Lawn Mower bagger and it’s done! Heck, it’s only Saturday, what can I do on Sunday?

After church on Sunday, it was more thatching in the back yard, making a couple of azalea beds at the end of the driveway and some weeding in the front yard beds.  And the weekend isn’t complete unless you toss around a few 40 pound bags of top soil. And Redman, I even got ride of that dead plant on the front porch. Now, if I can just move any of my body parts on Monday, that will be good!
