Lee County’s Garrett and Robin Dixon Named Alabama’s Outstanding Young Farm Family

LEE COUNTY — Aug. 20, 2026

Garrett and Robin Dixon of Lee County have been named Alabama’s 2026 Outstanding Young Farm Family by the Alabama Farmers Federation, an honor announced Aug. 8 in Montgomery.

The contest is open to farmers ages 18 to 35 who draw more than half their income from production agriculture, and judges weigh farm growth, profitability, Federation involvement and civic service. Federation President Jimmy Parnell presented the award alongside Young Farmers Division Director Hunter McBrayer; the Dixons were joined by their children, Chandler Jane and Cash.

As the state’s Outstanding Young Farm Family, the Dixons receive a $40,000 award package.
