Each year local folks in the community volunteer their time to help the LeeCounty Red Cross in their annual fund raising drive. The 2010 Hereos Campaign is underway and over the next few weeks, the Opelika Daily News will introduce you to some friends helping.
I am a proud member of the 2010 Lee County Red Cross Heroes Campaign, a Red Cross Board Member and the owner of Sid’s 8th Street Cafe in downtown Opelika. As a local business owner, I see many of wonderful people who give so much time and effort to support the local Red Cross. There is no better organization for me to give my time, contributions and total support. The effort, dedication and concern for our community by our local Red Cross team is exceptional. As we saw last year on many occasions, the Red Cross is there to help when disasters strike. Thanks to the planning and hard work of this group of dedicated professionals and generous volunteers, every Lee County citizen has a friend in time of need. This organization is a great value to each of us and always ready when emergencies occur. Please take a moment and think about how valuable your support of this great organization could be. I urge everyone to give to this wonderful cause. Thanks to everyone who supports the Lee County Red Cross efforts.
