As some of you know, I’ve been spending evenings the past few weeks bringing the old Opelika Daily News blog — which I’ve now done for two decades — back to life. Local events and news of coming and past events are aggregated from several area news sources. The stories always link back to the original source for context and, in many cases, more information.
My blog has gone under several URLs over the years, and I’ve been able to capture much of that information and bring it forward here in a special Archive section. There is also a link back to the original post page on the “Wayback Machine,” an internet site archive. If you’re counting, that’s just over 3,000 posts. As I dig through those, I’ll feature one of the more interesting ones (well, interesting to me, anyway) here in the top post position.
