It’s Happening All Over Opelika

This could be the most perfect weekend we’ve had in “O Town” in months.  Volunteers were out early picking up trash and litter as part of the City Wide Cleanup.  Each year gathers a little less which is the indication our litter problem gets smaller each year.  Then there are the trees.  My dogwood is busting out and trees that line the railroad tracks downtown are sprouting white flowers.  My neighbor had a small tractor and turned a new garden.  Fathers with the little kids on bikes wandered south from the northside to downtown.  I think I’ve seen a few more convertibles with tops down today that I have in months.  The azalea’s appeared to have repainted on the road at the beginning of the Annual Spring Trail.   And there was Redman, arriving at Red Door June in Pink Shorts to proclaim the end of winter.  Enough for now, I’m going back outside.
