Well, you all know how much I like working in the yard, and that was impossible this weekend due to all the rain. Saturday morning at the coffee shop with some of the regulars. Redman and I ran up the road to West Point to check out the Irish Bred Pub for lunch. Word on the street is that one may move into downtown Opelika. They have nine or so lcations from here to Atlanta and around. The food was good, the beer was cold, service was friendly and that’s about all I need in a pub. Our bartender gave us the tour, including the upstairs, that is were the action moves to at night.
A true sign of summer is the return of Sam Adam’s Summer Ale. Kroger has that special they don’t know about again this year on the 12 packs. Run, don’t walk and stock up now.
It’s the final week of school, with graduation this weekend for the kids at OHS. Remember what is was like for us (uh, for me 40 years ago) at this point in our life? Memorial Day Weekend next weekend? Got special plans? I think I’ve got a roadtrip in the plans. I’ll take the camera!
