Final Weekend Thoughts and a Picture of That… Uh, Whatever It Is!

What Coffee Pots Really Look Link!Well, I missed all the events around town this weekend.  Several friends I caught up with at the Coffee Shop on Sunday had made it out to the Old 280 Boogie, which was in a slightly different area, but still in Waverly.  From what some said, it was a better venue and lots of fun for the annual event.  That really big rain storm never happened for the area.  And even though so much was going on, the crowds seemed to balance out for the events.

Now, some final thoughts.  As you know, I’ve been getting ready for Talladega and the Aaron 499 this coming weekend. Race Buddy Kim is coming to town from Brainerd to hang for the weekend.  However, Kim’s boyfriend Makita is the one that is always the one in charge of the camp.  He’s not along, and since Kim is flying down, it’s on me.  So, I’ve been working hard to plan the work and work the plan for the week. My free trip to the race has cost a few extra bucks since I didn’t have some camp essentails to survive the three days on the In-Field.  So, The Captain brough the coffee pot we used on the Great Adventure in the Gulf a few years ago.  We gathered at Outback to say so long to the weekend.  He brought the pot by, which is pictured here.  It was funny, but we noticed that some of the younger kids working didn’t know what it was.  Gosh, I’m really getting old.

And thanks to Gigner Setern who was in town for bringing me the poster from the Sprint All Star Race Lowe’s Motor Speedway. which is May 16th.  But, I’ll have more on that race in a week or so.
