Empty Nest – For Now! I Think I Need Help Here!

So I work at home all day. It’s that job that some wish for, and other would hate. For me, about 80% of the time, I’m pretty focused, but required some fine tuning from time to time.  And, the weather has been so nice, I just leave the back door open in the kitchen. An occasional fly will come in to chase the big dog around, but nothing more than that. But now, it appears a bird has decided to make a home for some young ones.

I’d spotted a stick or two, some twigs, or something from the Pecan trees on the counter in the kitchen over the past few weeks. I’ve checked, but didn’t find a nest, which I figured was being built.  Had it been a snake, as they say… Just above the coffee pot, a sweet little bird has built this:

I almost hate to show the picture, because I think that Tailgate Cookbook might belong to George Purves, and I’ve had it for years.  But the Big question is what do I do? Trash the Nest, or deal with young ones swimming in my coffee in a few weeks. Could this only happen to me? I think so!
