Eighth & Rail – So What’s The Deal?

Eighth and RailI know a lot of folks are talking about Eighth & Rail these days and what’s going on.  Are they open, are the closed.  Well, the answer to that is yes.  Eighth & Rail continues to be the premier entertainment venue in this part of Alabama.  And although the Tavern isn’t keeping it’s old regular hours, it continues to book great entertainment to it’s stage.  I’ll try to let you know who’s coming and when so you don’t miss any of the special events planned through the end of the year.

With that being said, as Labor Day rolls past and we leave summer behind in just over a month, you need to mark your calendar for Wednesday, September 7th for the Sons of Summer.  I’ve got to say some of my best friends out of the US are in Australia. (Yea, I still have a huge crush on Tracey in Sydney).  The Sons of Summer, who call Nashville their home now, come from New South Wales, via a rather demanding schedule for over six months in China.  I’ve put a reminder in the sidebar and will discuss the “Sons” at greater length as the show approaches.   So, we’ll see you at the Rail.

A couple of shows in August to know about. More on each the week before the show.  On Thursday Night, August 11th it’s Garrett Thornton, then Saturday, August 13th it’s Woody Pines.
