This is one of the favorite events of the year for Opelika families with younger children! It’s a day where the Courthouse Square turns into a beautiful “Island of Easter Delights!” Here’s the lineup of events for this year’s Easter on the Square:
10 a.m. – “Egg-tivities” for kids – There will be plenty of arts and craft fun for ages 2nd grade and under. Kids can make parade decorations (for the Easter parade), including hats, Bunny ears, vests, ties and bonnets. They can have their picture made with the Easter Bunny, enjoy cotton candy, lemonade, cookies and hear storytellers spin tales of wonder!
10:45 a.m. – The “Ultimate Easter Parade” – Parents, you and your kids can join the Easter Bunny, the Easter Egg, the Baby Easter Egg, and the Easter Chicken for an old fashioned parade around the Courthouse Square. You can show off your bonnets and other Easter crafts as you take this traditional stroll around the park – or wear your own Easter Bonnet from home!
11:00 a.m. – Super Spectacular Egg Hunt – Children in the 2nd grade and under (no exceptions!) are invited to join the fun and search for eggs and all sorts of candy! Sections are provided for Toddlers, Pre-School and School age children. There will be over 25,000 eggs to be gathered! (Source: www.opelika.org)
