East Alabama Health to Open Prenatal Clinic in Valley on Sept. 1

VALLEY โ€” Aug. 27, 2026

Opelika-based East Alabama Health will open the East Alabama Community Prenatal Clinic on the campus of its EAMC-Lanier Rural Emergency Hospital in Valley on Tuesday, Sept. 1.

The clinic is intended to expand prenatal care access in Chambers County, where local obstetric services have thinned in recent years. It will operate Tuesdays and Fridays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Eastern time at the EAMC-Lanier campus.

The opening follows other recent additions at EAMC-Lanier, including three emergency observation beds added to the rural emergency hospital’s emergency department earlier this month.
