It’s over! A Clean Bill of Health. For me and that other secret person that went for the colonoscopy this morning! Of course, when George sends along those pictures later today, and Bob Patton sends his from the procedure room, you’ll see more (and do I mean, more!) – The staff at EAMC and Dr. Gilbert’s Office was just great! I can’t say enough nice things about them, so I’ll have more later. I’m going to take a nap!
Back now after a few hours nap with some pictures of the morning acitivies…

George took me and his lovely wife Debbie (opps, guess I let the cat out of the bag) to the hospital. It should be noted I’m smiling here at about 6:20AM, which is normally before I am awake. I don’t think anyone else was having such a good time.

Now I could have cropped this shot for space, but I wanted to you note the white socks we’re both wearing. They recommended that for the procedure room, because it’s a bit cool in there. Funny thing, on check in, they had accidently assigned Debbie and Me both to Bed 7. Yea George, they told you it was an accident!

Please put your hands and arms inside the railing. That’s Christie, who actually remembered me for the Fukai Dark of Winter Party. “You were the guy in the Top Hat, right?” Bingo, that was me. What a small town we live in. She was the first person I saw before going dark and the first I saw waking up. My first thoughts as I woke up, Dang, the Angels are sure pretty here in Heaven! Peggy from work later reminded me that I probably wouldn’t wake up to see angels. What’s that suppose to mean?

The three pictures above were taken by Dr. Bob Patton (don’t quit your day job!) after I got into the procedure room. He reminded me, he wanted me to do this two years earlier. He took the picture and I think I asked if anyone from Channel 12 was going to be there, and then… sleepy time…

If there is any discomfort the actual day, it’s maybe if you have hairy arms and they pull the tape off. I was laughing so hard, Maria couldn’t make it in one pull. sorry Maria, I’m just not a good patient!

So we checked in to the hospital about 6:30AM, got to our Rooms (more like cubicles) about 7AM and this picture is about 9:15AM. I’ll get some staff names for our drivers a little later and update this post.
The post of all these post is to remind anyone over 50 that whatever excuse you have not to do the procedure, probably isn’t good enough. Thanks again to George, who’s nagging got me to do this, and Debbie who agreed to go. And to a few more folks I’ll name here in a day or so, when I complete the list.
