Depot Farmer’s Market to Open Tuesday

From Velinda with Opelika Main Street this note:

Alabama Farmers The Depot Farmer’s Market Opening Day will be Tuesday, June 13th complete with Ribbon Cutting by our wonderful Chamber of Commerce at 4:00 PM.  Hours for the market will be 4:00-7:00 PM each Tuesday through the summer with the exception of July 4th. I have some money that the Farmer’s Market Authority gave me that will enable me to purchase 10×10 EZ UP tents from Sam’s.  There has been several folks that are sponsoring the purchase of tents such as Lee County Commissioners Annell Smith, Johnny Lawrence, Mathan Holt and Sheriff Jay Jones. I am in need of more sponsors, so pass the word.  I also need help in setting the tables/tents up on Tuesdays beginning around 1:00.  The growers can start setting up at 2:00 and I want to everything ready when they arrive.  If you have any connections with growers, pass the word.

This joins the regular Thursday and Saturday Morning Markets under the 10th Street Bridge!
