AUBURN — Chef David Bancroft, a five-time James Beard Award semifinalist, has officially opened a second Auburn location of Bow & Arrow at 2298 E. University Drive following a soft opening over Labor Day weekend.
The new restaurant seats 240 guests across two levels and adds an upstairs bar and private event space, a considerable step up from the original Bow & Arrow, which Bancroft opened in 2018 around his “BBQ-Mex” blend of South Texas smokehouse cooking and Mexican influences. The building is designed as a moody South Texas saloon, with communal gathering space giving way to booths and banquettes.
Still to come, in the next few weeks, is The Bluebonnet Market — an old-fashioned grab-and-go market attached to the restaurant, meant to work both as a waiting area and as a destination of its own.
