Challenge Answered – My Vision for 2014

14560363_mRecently I was challenged to create a blog post about my vision for the New Year. First, I picked three words that would be the foundation of that vision. Being former military, I had to find something with a catchy acronym. So is it really a surprise I chose the words “Ultimate Final Organization” or UFO? (Collective sigh from my friends!) I’ve got lots on the plate in 2014. Several broadcast trade shows to help coordinate. A personal learning convention (all before the end of May), two trips to the mothership in Canada, all the duties associated with my primary job and a handful of other projects for friends back here in Alabama. And that’s just the work stuff, not to mention some time for friends, family and some camping. Oh, and that major lifestyle change that is centered on better health, not just for a few months of diet, but for the rest of my life. So Ultimately, I must be Organized now and have a final plan in place. Oh, I suspect there will be changes to the Master Plan over the coming weeks and months, but without a structure now, I’d be doomed for failure. And I’m not a big fan of failure!

The past several months have help give me the focus and tools to make for a great 2014. I’ve associated myself with several groups with the combined knowledge of many to help guide me to these goals. Some might look at the year ahead and wonder how it will all come together? But for me, now, I’m excited! I’m ready for next week to get us past the holidays and start cranking out big results! Gandhi said “The future depends on what you do today.” So I’ll make it count, starting today! Image credit: ragsac / 123RF Stock Photo
