I’m not sure how I’ve ended up with the friends I have, but as much as some like Nascar, others think we’re a bunch of left turning idiots. However, since I know the love of the race is across all social groups, I’m comfortable in my public acknowledgement of my love of the sport. Today was the Big One, the Daytona 500. Although the race was shortened by rain, it wasn’t short on thrills and some controversy. The track reduced the ticket prices to $40 in some areas, which was a 50% cut in prices and managed to fill the track with
fans. Now I’ve already planned my next trip to Atlanta in Septemember. The fall race will be nearly six weeks earlier and the cooler temperatures of this past year (I’m being nice when I say cooler, cause it was pretty darn cold). We’ve got great seats and it’s another camping adventure. Ahh, racing in back! I’ll be following Earnhart Jr. and Mark Martin this year! Read full details at Nascar.Com! (Photo Credit: Nascar.Com)
