Bulldogs Host Enterprise Friday in Class 6A Region 2 Opener

OPELIKA — Opelika (0-1) returns to Bulldog Stadium on Friday, Sept. 4, for its first Class 6A Region 2 game of the season against Enterprise, a week after a 21-7 loss to Hoover in the season opener.

The Wildcats arrive at 2-0 after a 40-38 win over Pike Road and a 58-12 rout of Crestview High School in Florida, per the Opelika Observer. Enterprise head coach Ben Blackmon is 33-16 in four years with the program.

Region games decide playoff seeding in 6A, which makes Friday’s result the more consequential of Opelika’s first two outings. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
