Auburn University’s McCrary Institute formally launched its Alabama Cybersecurity Intelligence Center (ACIC) on July 11, offering free, around-the-clock cyber threat monitoring to local governments across the state. The initiative is supported by the State and Local Cybersecurity Grant Program (SLCGP).

The McCrary Edge Lab already provides real-time threat monitoring for more than 400 Alabama municipalities. The ACIC launch addresses a persistent vulnerability gap caused by limited staffing and budgets in smaller cities and counties. Interested municipalities can reach the ACIC team at ACIC@auburn.edu.
