Auburn soccer lost 1-0 at Arkansas on Sunday afternoon at Razorback Field, the finale of a five-day SEC road swing. Lauren Van Rhein scored for the Razorbacks from the top of the six-yard box in the 20th minute.
Dylan Driver forced a diving save in the 30th minute, and Hannah Bell’s shot from the top of the box went just over the crossbar with less than 10 seconds left. Goalkeeper Ayana Yapo matched her season high with four saves.
Auburn (6-2-3, 2-2-0 SEC) has allowed just three goals this season, the fewest in program history through 11 matches. “We battled to the very end but we were missing a little bit of quality today,” coach James Armstrong said.
The Tigers return home Thursday, Oct. 1, to face No. 9 Tennessee at 6 p.m. CT on SEC Network in their Kick Out Cancer match.
