Auburn Opens Permanent 24-Hour Recycling Drop-Off Center on Donahue Drive

July 17, 2026 — Auburn, Alabama

The City of Auburn opened its new permanent 24-hour Recycling Drop-Off Center at 356 N. Donahue Drive on July 10. The facility replaces a temporary site on Mary Brooks Drive that had been in use during construction of the Boykin Donahue Campus project.

The center accepts all curbside recyclables plus additional items like batteries (up to size D) and is open year-round. It is part of Auburn’s broader commitment to improving recycling infrastructure and accessibility for residents.
