Auburn Breaks Ground on $305 Million Jordan-Hare North End Zone Project

Two days before its home opener, Auburn University held a groundbreaking ceremony Thursday for the Jordan-Hare Stadium North End Zone Project, with President Chris Roberts among those speaking.

The project, approved by the Board of Trustees in April, will add a seven-story, roughly 300,000-square-foot structure on the north end of the stadium, including a large multipurpose hall and ballroom designed for year-round use rather than football Saturdays alone.

The estimated cost is about $305 million, funded through bonds and gift funds, with philanthropic support guided by the Ever Auburn campaign, premium seating revenue and related annual revenue. Construction began this summer and full completion is set for spring 2029.

The build has immediate consequences for fans: the north end zone parking lot is out of service for the season.
