Auburn A-Day Spring Game: Coach Golesh Debuts with Healthy Squad

April 18, 2026 | Reported April 23 in Observer

New Auburn head coach Alex Golesh made his debut at Jordan-Hare Stadium in the annual A-Day spring game on April 18, with the scoreboard reading Offense 64, Defense 43 at the final whistle. The game, the culmination of “A-Day Week” presented by Golden Flake, featured the traditional spring format with Tiger Walk, the Auburn Marching Band, and post-game autograph sessions.

“There’s no winner in the whole thing, other than our team having nobody getting banged up,” Golesh said. “You sit there and you say a prayer before, you say it at each TV timeout, and we made it out healthy.” The Opelika Observer gave the event high marks, declaring “Auburn’s A Day earns an A+.”
